A mobile phone in a waterproof case is a good accessible communication option for many paddlers, but for those who already use them, you'll know that they can be hard to read in bright sunlight, hard to wake up through waterproof bags or with wet hands and can be impacted by signal coverage.
Many paddlers have raised the alarm to get help in difficult situations by dialling 999 to contact the emergency services asking for Coastguard when at Sea and Fire & Rescue when on inland waterways and they are a great tool for letting people know if you are due in later than expected or if you need a pick-up from a mid-route exit point, but it is a VHF radio that is recommended for all on-water users.

FREE UK SHIPPING ON ALL SUPS...
For SUPs we use Parcelforce 48 service so allow two working days for your board to come. Sometimes you'll be lucky enough to get it the next day so keep your finger's crossed! All other products will have a small delivery charge attached. If you're in a pickle and live within a within a reasonable distance of Torbay give us a call as we may be able to add your order to our local deliveries for a same day service.
